Wildcats News · Tennis Team is Back 2021!

OAK RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS IS BACK!

TSSAA kept us off the courts last year due to COVID, but that has not deterred the ORHS Wildcat and Lady Wildcat tennis teams from coming back in a big way this spring. Only one of the twelve players starting in 2019, Andy Lee, returns for the 2021 campaign. Andy and Nolan Fischer play #1 doubles, leading the Wildcats to their current 5-1 record on the season in District 3. The Lady Wildcats are led by Abby Hausladen and Sidney Ozcan, who compete in the line-up at #1 and #2 singles. With six new starters in the line-up, the Lady Wildcats are 6-0, seeking a perfect season. ORHS hosts Powell this Thursday, and then travels to Tyson Park in Knoxville to face Halls for their last match of the season. Coaches Joanne and David Bowman encourage Oak Ridgers to be spectators at the City’s Tennis Facility across from the Civic Center. “We hope citizens join our players’ families and friends from 4-6:00 PM at the courts to cheer on both teams as they pursue TSSAA District 3 “Team” titles.”
